Then come join us at Stantec We have an opportunity for a Senior CAD Technician to join our team - specialising in major projects across the water sector. This role is based from our Newcastle office with hybrid working allowing for a mix of in-office and home-working. As a Senior CAD Technician, you will work as part of our well-respected Digital Design team - working alongside highly skilled technicians and engineers to deliver some of the most technically complex and exciting projects across the Water sector. You will be working with a variety of 2D and 3D software - including Civil 3D and Revit - and will offer mentoring and training to more junior colleagues on how to most effectively use CAD software. You will report into a Regional Discipline Lead who will be on hand to offer technical guidance and to support you in further developing your career. Duties will include: - Preparing project drawings and BIM models, understanding, interpreting, and implementing local client CAD standards and BIM data requirements. - Collaborating with engineers, consultants and technicians from multiple disciplines. - Managing personal workload plans, establishing, and maintaining delivery deadlines. - Working within the Common Data Environments. About you You will have prior experience working as a CAD Technician, Senior CAD Technician, or similar digital delivery role - ideally with experience of working within the water or energy sectors. In addition you will be able to demonstrate that you have: - experience of working to develop design deliverables in collaboration with multi-discipline design team members - worked in a Common Data Environments using Data Management Systems such as BIM360 and ProjectWise - used 3d software such as Civil 3D or Revit - the ability to organise your workload across multiple projects - willing to mentor less experienced colleagues when it comes to BIM and any new software developments Finally, you will embody our passion for innovation and client service, with ambitions to tackle a range of challenges as the team looks to continue its growth within the sector.
