We have an immediate requirement for a TLE Engineer supporting the Through Life Support team. You will be the focal point for any technical engineering investigation support requirements to ensure on-time delivery of product/customer technical queries.
Key Responsibilities & Duties
* Act as the focal point for engineering to operations and product support to maintain status and priority information, ensuring stakeholders have a clear vision of relevant engineering activities.
* Ensure engineering investigation action plans are well-structured, managed, and substantiated to enable clear and quick program decisions to avoid line stops.
* Accountable for the technical quality of work delivered by themselves and other less senior or external engineers assigned to support their work.
* Represent the engineering function at daily production escalation stand-up meetings (module QRQC) to provide proactive engineering support and feedback to minimize line stops.
* Build and maintain good working relationships between all key stakeholders and the engineering function to allow effective communication.
* Maintain close alignment with the Configuration Management team and participate in required change management board reviews to ensure in-service product modifications are properly addressed and controlled.
* Provide engineering input to budget forecasting activities as needed to support accurate budget forecasting.
* Run/lead projects to improve reliability and FTPR depending on the paretos.
* Support SQA and SRPM in supplier investigations for design issues.
* Ensure the Local Bond MRB is supported and QNs are actioned in a timely manner.
* Lead and complete PRs/CRS and permits in a timely manner.
Requirements
* A Mechanical, Automotive, or Aeronautical Engineering degree or equivalent qualification.
* Self-sufficient and largely self-motivated.
* Ability to communicate clearly through written and verbal means to all levels of staff, including direct reports and external customers.
* Ability to work under pressure to meet program deadlines.
* Extensive design experience, especially with rotating equipment, shafts, bearings, seals, structures, etc.
* Experienced in CATIA 3D CAD software and Teamcenter.
* Good working knowledge of MS Software, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Project.
* Knowledge of electrical machines.
* Understanding of engineering materials and production methods relevant to them.
* Ability to produce designs considering design to cost and ease of manufacture and assembly.
* Good time management skills, proactive, with the ability to prioritize.
* Ability to plan work efficiently to meet agreed monthly milestone tasks.
* Ability to produce and deliver technical presentations to employees and customers at any level.
* Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills at all levels, internally and externally.
