An exciting opportunity is currently available for an Advanced Occupational Therapist specialising in neurological rehabilitation. We are a specialist community neurological rehabilitation team with a mixture of disciplines, and we are currently looking for a passionate and enthusiastic team member to join us. We work in a variety of clinical and community settings, and are a goal-orientated and patient-focused team. Main duties of the job
As an Advanced Occupational Therapist within our team, you will complete assessment, analysis, treatment, and evaluation of patients with complex neurological conditions. You will work in collaboration with the senior leaders to provide direction for the team, embracing change and developing the service. You will work alongside the multidisciplinary team to provide patient-focused, goal-orientated, and evidence-based practice. You will provide supervision and complete appraisals for team members. You will be involved in service development and take an active role in in-service training.

Job responsibilities
* Extensive occupational therapy experience with evidence of working within a neurological setting including highly complex presentations.
* Advanced analytical knowledge of different clinical presentations of acquired brain injury/neurological conditions and their impact on function.
* Extensive occupational therapy skills demonstrating specialist levels of therapeutic techniques including cognitive rehabilitation and fatigue management.

Person Specification
Education and Qualification
* Recognised Occupational Therapy degree or equivalent.
* HCPC Registered
* Evidence of successful completion of specialist short courses and other relevant CPD to Masters level equivalence.
* Registered member of College of Occupational Therapists.
Knowledge and Experience
* Awareness and understanding of professional accountability, HCPC and RCOT standards and other local and national initiatives.
* Proven track record of post-registration clinical experience relevant to the post.
* Experience of working within a multi-disciplinary team.
* Awareness of equal opportunities legislation and policies.
* Experience of collaborative working across agencies and professional disciplines.
* Proven ability to manage a clinical caseload in a flexible manner as required.
* Experience of providing clinical supervision and support to clinical staff.
* Knowledge of health and safety requirements of the team.
* Experience of teaching/training relating to neurological conditions.
