Assistant Service Manager / Service Reception Manager required by my Main Dealer Motor Garage based in the Basingstoke area of Hampshire.
Job Role – Assistant Service Manager / Service Reception Manager
Job Location – Basingstoke, Hampshire
Salary circa 36k OTE
Hours: Full-time (Monday to Friday: 8am to 6pm with 1 hour for lunch. Saturday morning cover only in the absence of Service Advisors: 8am to 1pm)
You will have previously worked in a similar role, or perhaps a Service Manager, Front of House Manager, Workshop Controller or Senior Service Advisor.
Assistant Service Manager / Service Reception Manager Role:
1. You will need to lead by example on a daily basis
2. Have an enthusiastic and passionate personality to drive and motivate your team.
3. You will be expected to help resolve staff and customer concerns as they arise and take responsibility for hitting business objectives.
4. To oversee all aspects of the Service Department operations in the absence of the service manager
5. To challenge and drive the performance of the front-of-house staff
6. Managing, coaching and motivating employees to ensure a high quality of staff.
7. Assist with Monitoring performance against agreed targets.
8. Ensuring correct completion of Vehicle Health Checks, up sell conversions and follow up of unsold, deferred work process.
About You:
9. Preferably a minimum of 3-years experience as a Senior Service Advisor / Workshop Controller / Service Reception Manager / Assistant Service Manager who is highly successful in their current position or already in a similar role
10. You will need to be a ‘leader’ of people and an ambassador for the brand and dealer group
11. Can demonstrate a stable career path
12. Be capable of balancing the hands-on approach of helping your team, along with running the department when the Service Manager is unavailable.
