CNC Programmer/Setter/Operator – Precision Prototyping

Pay Rate: £19.50 per hour
Shift: Night shift, 44 hours over 4 nights
A leading precision engineering company based in Wakefield is looking for an experienced CNC Programmer/Setter/Operator to join their night shift team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work on bespoke, high-spec prototypes and precision components in a cutting-edge environment.
The Role
The CNC Programmer/Setter/Operator will be responsible for:
Programming, setting, and operating CNC machines with Haas controls, using G & M codes to produce precision components.
Machining one-off prototypes and small batches, requiring a high level of accuracy and adaptability.
Interpreting detailed technical drawings and specifications to deliver bespoke solutions.
Selecting appropriate tooling and making necessary adjustments to ensure high-quality finishes.
Working with a variety of materials to produce parts for critical industries.
About You
To excel in this role, candidates must have:
Proven experience programming, setting, and operating CNC machines in a precision engineering environment.
Proficiency with Haas or Fanuc controls and a strong understanding of G & M code programming.
A track record of working on prototyping and one-off machining projects, demonstrating creativity and problem-solving skills.
Expertise in either CNC milling or turning—both will be considered.
A methodical approach to work, with a focus on quality and precision.
