As a Senior Lead Architect at JPMorgan Chase within the Corporate Data and Analytics Services Team, you are an integral part of a team that works to develop high-quality architecture solutions for various software applications and platforms products. You drive significant business impact and help shape the target state architecture through your capabilities in multiple architecture domains.
Job responsibilities
1. Represents a product family of technical governance bodies
2. Provides feedback and proposes improvements to architecture governance practices
3. Guides evaluation of current technology and leads evaluation of new technologies using existing standards and frameworks
4. Regularly provides technical guidance and direction to support the business and its technical teams, contractors, and vendors
5. Develops secure and high-quality production code, and reviews and debugs code written by others
6. Drives decisions that influence product design, application functionality, and technical operations and processes
7. Serves as a function-wide subject matter expert in one or more areas of focus
8. Actively contributes to the engineering community as an advocate of firmwide frameworks, tools, and practices of the Software Development Life Cycle
9. Influences peers and project decision-makers to consider the use and application of leading-edge technologies
10. Adds to team culture of diversity, equity, inclusion, and respect
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
11. Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and advanced applied experience in Cloud Computing, Microservices, Data Mesh Architectures, Architecture Frameworks and Stakeholder Management
12. Review and improve modern cloud solution architectures (public cloud, microservices, kafka, no-sql, cockroachdb, datamesh)
13. Develop an understanding of a portfolio of applications and technical capabilities and capture this knowledge in a standard notation / modelling tool with a view to end to end architecture improvements and identification of reuse opportunities
14. Evaluate current and new technologies and provide adoption guidance
15. Provide technical guidance and direction to the business & technical teams
16. Identify cost optimization opportunities across the application portfolio
17. When required develop secure, high-quality code and review/debug others' code (primarily JAVA based code)
18. Serve as a subject matter expert in specific focus areas (. developing for the Public Cloud, Data Mesh, AI/ML)
19. Be an advocate for firmwide standard frameworks, tools and best practices across the engineering community.
