Job summary The Hillingdon Hospital serves the local population of Hillingdon, playing an important role in the diagnosis of cancer, and treatment of common cancers. A key focus of this role will be to deliver sustainable resilient cancer pathways, to ensure the Trust is able to consistently deliver the constitutional standards and provide a high-quality patient experience. Main duties of the job Accountable to the Chief Operating Officer and working in partnership with Clinical Directors and Divisional/ Lead Nurses, this post is responsible for operational delivery, operational performance, financial performance, governance, change, and business development across the Directorate. You will provide effective leadership and be a key member of the Trust's and Division's senior management teams. The postholder will be required to: Use their operational credibility to deliver robust systems and take stakeholders on an improvement journey for the benefit of patients and deliver change at scale and pace to improve cancer services and understand treatment variation. Build appropriate trust and engagement through effective stakeholder engagement and clear strategic thinking to ensure delivery of the Cancer Strategy Prepare, collate and present programme updates to ensure clear understanding of the current position Use analytical skills to understand and solve problems About us The Hillingdon Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is the only acute Hospital in the London Borough of Hillingdon and offers a wide range of services including accident and emergency, inpatient care, day surgery, outpatient clinics and maternity services. The Trust's services at Mount Vernon Hospital include routine day surgery, delivered at a modern treatment centre, a minor injuries unit and outpatient clinics.
