Audiologist (Bank) The Clementine Churchill Hospital Bank Shifts Salary Up to £27.50 per hour (depending on level of experience, training and qualification) The Clementine Churchill Hospital in Harrow Is part of Circle Health Group, Britain's leading provider of independent healthcare with a nationwide network of hospitals & clinics, performing more complex surgery than any other private healthcare provider in the country. We have an opportunity for an Audiologist to join their team of staff in the Nursing department. This is a bank role working on an “as and when required” basis, you will be required to supplement staffing levels during busy periods and provide cover for existing staff in times of annual leave or absence. Duties of this role include: Conduct a full range of audiological assessments including pure tone audiometry, tympanometry, speech testing, acoustic reflexes, and otoacoustic emissions. Perform hearing aid evaluations and fittings based on audiological profiles and patient needs. Recommend, fit, and adjust hearing aids or assistive listening devices using Real Ear Measurements and patient feedback. Provide counselling and education to patients and families on hearing loss, device usage, communication strategies, and ongoing hearing management. Deliver compassionate and clear communication, adjusting explanations to suit the patient’s level of understanding and communication needs. Liaise with ENT consultants, GPs, speech and language therapists, and other allied professionals to coordinate care and refer patients appropriately. Contribute to the smooth running of audiology services, ensuring efficient use of clinic time and resources. Ensure compliance with infection control, consent, safeguarding, data protection, and clinical governance policies. Applicants should meet the following criteria: BSc (Hons) in Audiology or equivalent qualification approved by the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC). HCPC or RCCP registration as an Audiologist (or working towards registration). Clinical experience in audiological assessment, hearing aid fitting, and hearing rehabilitation. Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build trust with patients of all ages. Good organisational and time management skills. Competence with audiological software, equipment, and digital hearing aid systems.
