Job Summary
Sodexo delivers a wide range of services to meet the unique and varied needs of each client across Corporate Services. We are seeking an organised and conscientious Area Cleaning Manager (Science Services), to join one of our large established clients in Stevenage. You will manage a team of between six and ten cleaning and housekeeping operatives and oversee the running of the cleaning services of the laboratory workplace environment and housekeeping to a high standard. You will also report any near misses and accidents and monitor staff absences.
You will have strong knowledge of COSHH and ideally extensive experience within cleaning management and managing large teams of cleaners and housekeepers. You will be resilient, manage your time and multiple priorities effectively, and possess good communication and customer service skills.
Key Responsibilities
Working under the guidance of the Scientific Services Lead, you will have responsibility for the following:
1. Health and Safety (including risk assessments and COSHH checks)
2. Cleaning Audits
3. Stock control
4. Stakeholder Management
5. Staff training and performance reviews
Working Hours
This role will be prominently Monday to Friday, working 37.5 hours per week.
