The HC category is divided in 4 segments (= ‘Small C’s’): Fabric Cleaning, Fabric Enhancers, Home & Hygiene and Dishwash, and is driven by a dynamic, ambitious, and engaged team, operating in a challenging but exciting environment that offers a great opportunity to develop as marketer and business talent. This is a field where marketers can develop and sharpen their skills by confronting some of the largest players in FMCG such as P&G, Henkel, and Reckitt Benckiser. In this competitive landscape, deep consumer insight, fast reaction and time to market are of crucial importance.
The BU FCL ABM will report to the Mkt & Strategy Lead for Europe’s BU bringing together the Fabric Cleaning One Plan for BG-led markets, building on category strategy and aligning on BU JTBD’s and making sure the one plan delivers short and long-term results, while elevating the brand and delivering against key brand objectives. With the support of BU Fabric Cleaning Lead, you will be owning the portfolio leading core renovations, regulatory related changes and marketing involved 5S initiatives across the BU to ensure simplification/harmonization opportunities. You will support with BG teams to deliver the big bold moves working directly with the BG-led markets.
JOB PURPOSE
You will support the BU’s mkt and Strategy lead with the Fabric Cleaning strategic growth plans for 6 BG Led Markets in Europe (UK, France, Poland, Italy, Netherlands and Germany). Working close cooperation with global team on the Big Bold moves innovations and One plan alignment. With a strong collaborating with the x-functional team (R&D, SC, CSP and DMC).
You will own portfolio for the Europe Business Unit and co-lead core renovations, big and small, that will make our business win and grow.

WHAT WILL YOUR MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES BE
1. Strategic brand & marketing planning
You will collaborate with the markets and global to deliver successful business plans feeding into the category strategy and global Big Bold moves, fixing the plans when needed. Defining clear Jobs to Be Done for 6 BG markets, matching the annual business process (IBP) and advising on the portfolio and funnel. Skills required: P&L management, strategic thinking, customer & trade orientation, managing & influencing senior stakeholders.
2. Portfolio ownership & Driving Core renovations
You will own the EU fabric cleaning portfolio with CSP teams aligning on portfolio opportunities with local mkt teams. Working in close collaboration with x factional teams to avoid complexity increase while unlocking growth opportunities. Skills required: customer & trade understanding, P&L management and cross functional lead.
You will be driving the Core renovations under the leadership of the BU Fabric Cleaning Lead, fitting with the brand and category growth agenda and regulatory needs. For the regional projects, you will lead the artwork process and work on asset development if/when needed, embracing the new DDM world, working with various agencies and partners. Skills required: Consumer understanding, product development with technical teams, cross functional lead, business case and financials understanding, communication development.
3. Supporting the 5S program for the brand
Improving profitability is a must for the markets to have the relevant BMI to support their brands. You will support the BU scoped marketing relevant savings programs for the different brands in tight collaboration with R&D, Procurement and Supply Chain teams. Skills required: Cross-functional project management, leadership, business acumen.
WHAT YOU WILL NEED TO SUCCEED
REQUIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE
* Marketing proficiency with 3Y+ of experience within innovation / CSP / local mkt roles. Home Care will be a plus.
* Great project management skills with strong bias for actions and accountability.
* Ability to work autonomously and with diverse and large groups of people across regions and functions face to face and virtually.
* Capacity to influence and engage with senior stakeholders along the way.
* Skill to balance strategic thinking (i.e.: the big picture) and short-term execution.
* Strong business acumen as well as strong logic.
* Consumer & customer focus.
* Ability to de-complicate, keep things simple and live by the “small is beautiful” mantra.
