My client is an established company specializing in cladding and remedial works, and they are looking to appoint an experienced Health and Safety Manager to join them on a permanent basis. The successful applicant will be responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining health and safety policies and procedures to ensure a safe working environment across all their facade projects.
Duties And Responsibilities:
1. Develop and Implement Health and Safety Policies
2. Conduct regular site inspections and audits to ensure compliance with safety regulations.
3. Provide training and support to employees on health and safety practices.
4. Investigate accidents and incidents to identify root causes and implement corrective actions.
5. Liaise with regulatory bodies and ensure all projects comply with local, state, and federal safety regulations.
6. Maintain accurate records of safety inspections, incidents, and training.
7. Promote a culture of safety within the organization.
Requirements:
1. Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, or a related field.
2. Minimum of 5 years of experience in a health and safety role, preferably in the construction or facade sector.
3. In-depth knowledge of health and safety regulations and best practices.
4. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
5. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
6. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
7. Relevant certifications (e.g., NEBOSH, IOSH) are highly desirable.
