The Opportunity:
We are looking for an experienced Business Analyst to join our Student Systems Partnership in the Registry Services department at the University of Edinburgh.
The Student Systems Partnership is a multi-disciplined team that delivers business change projects and the system changes to support these. These projects help improve the way the University administers and supports the student lifecycle with the objective of delivering effective and efficient processes alongside systems developments to support change.
Our team strives to deliver real value to our users across the University by working collaboratively with that community and by putting students and staff at the centre of all our work. We also try to improve our own ways of working using techniques and tools from Continuous Improvement (Lean), Agile and Design Thinking.
You should have practical experience of business and systems analysis in a change environment, enjoy working closely with developers in software development project teams and be open to innovative ways of working.
Your skills and attributes for success:
* Significant, evidenced practical experience of business analysis
* Experience of business process re-design and implementation and approaches to managing change successfully
* Experience of Higher Education and student lifecycle
* Experience of, and a preference for, working in an Agile software project environment
* Ability to:
o React quickly to changing demands
o Work with minimum supervision accurately and consistently to high standards
o Work collaboratively and effectively with software developers and business partners
* The opportunity to work in a forward-looking team that has an overriding ethic of respect for people
* Ample opportunities for self-development
* A vibrant city centre location and hybrid working - the Student Systems Partnership currently has a policy of hybrid working with mostly remote working and an expected 4 days on-site per month.
