Closing date – 30th December 2024 We are looking for an experienced, solutions focused Centre Manager to join our team providing a Substance Misuse recovery service in our busy centre in Basildon, Essex. Open Road provides drug and alcohol treatment services and offender support services across Essex & Kent including a range of structured interventions that deliver mentoring, advice and relapse prevention programmes. As a dynamic team leader, you will manage all services in accordance with contractual requirements, service model and key performance indicators, taking appropriate action where performance is below the expected standards. You will do this by motivating and enthusing your team, connecting them to the bigger picture of the organisation and ensuring they are fulfilling their own levels of performance. To be successful in this role, you will have a significant level of operational and line management experience, and have an in-depth understanding of safeguarding and risk within a health and social care environment. What will you do? Manage all services in accordance with contractual requirements, service model and key performance indicators (KPIs), taking appropriate action where performance is below the expected standards. Oversee risk management and safeguarding in the locality. Chairing monthly safeguarding meetings and undertaking quarterly audit checks to address performance, risk and safeguarding concerns as appropriate. Ensure the centre and any outreach services in the locality are sufficiently staffed and performance-managed accordingly. Responsible for effective resourcing of the Open Access service and any co-located agencies. Lead in the local management of health and safety, ensuring that all policies, procedures and risk assessments are communicated to the team. Develop and sustain a good relationship with service users and encourage them to make a positive contribution to the organisation. What you need: To have a degree and/or professional qualification in management or the equivalent skills/experience. To hold a relevant qualification and/or at least 2 years’ experience working in substance misuse. Accomplished written and verbal communications skills with a high degree of personal IT competency. Have a clear understanding of, and a commitment to safeguarding best practice. A commitment to multi-agency working, and be able to work in partnership with other agencies within the treatment system to achieve good outcomes for clients. Excellent team working and interpersonal skills, maintaining a highly cooperative approach to supporting colleagues in delivering service objective.
