What You'll Do
The individual will manage a team of seven trading assistants, responsible for ensuring the complete, accurate and timely capture of trades and lifecycle events. The team is also responsible for the day-to-day relationship management with their Portfolio Manager and Trader clients. This involves dealing with all trade support issues, service updates & expansion, incident management and coordinating the internal teams accordingly.
The team forms part of the operations function supporting trading activities across a diverse client base and product range. Key responsibilities include:
* Taking responsibility for full Trade Support coverage across all clients.
* Take responsibility for personally managing four of the most high profile clients.
* Oversee the management of all other EMEA based clients, being the escalation point for client queries and concerns from the team.
* Creating a culture of high standards that maintains quality control across all clients.
* Providing supervisory sign-offs/approvals for key technical operational procedures.
* Presenting to prospective clients on the operations model and services provided.
* Assisting with the onboarding of new clients and funds.
* Project managing the implementation of in-house system and process enhancements for the operations team as the business continues to expand.
* Hiring and leading the on-site training of any new team members.
What You'll Need
* 10 years plus experience in a PM/Trader/Client facing Operations or Trading Assistant role with expert knowledge of the front-to-back trade processing cycle.
* Experience leading and managing a team of best in class professionals in a high pressure environment.
* Excellent knowledge of operational risk and risk mitigation utilising technology, process, and controls.
* Excellent knowledge of one or more flavour of OTC or Listed Derivatives products, including Rates, FX, Credit, Equity, Futures & Options.
* Technical experience with Python, SQL or VBA would be highly beneficial.
* Problem solving capabilities and a focus of process improvement.
* Strong client facing, relationship management and communication skills.
