As a Principal Analysis Engineer, you will be required to propose and agree Landing Gear Design conceptual studies, propose efficient solutions to design & analytical problems to achieve business objectives. Ensure technical quality of Work package activities, act as a Technical focal and mentor, represent SLS at customer meetings, check and approve technical deliverables and support the creation, progression and usage of new methods & tools.
Key Responsibilities & Duties
1. Interfacing with other areas of the business where necessary: Chief Engineers, Programmes, Test Engineering, Manufacturing etc.
2. Coaching of engineers in theoretical and ‘real life' best practices.
3. Representing Safran LS as a technical focal for internal and external projects.
4. Advising of appropriate technical developments to take engineering forward.
5. Influencing the Aerospace community in appropriate technological developments.
6. Participate in technical audits & reviews.
7. Comply with industry standards, regulations & qualification requirements.
Job Requirements
You should be an authority in your field, both internally and externally, with good engineering analysis, coaching and networking skills. You must be able to understand the formal and informal structures of the organisation, including your own area, SLS and partner organisations. You need to be able to operate with limited supervision in a complex environment.
Minimum Qualifications:
1. Minimum of HNC/HND level, but ideally BSc/MSc, in an engineering discipline.
2. Experience of working with recognised FEA and Fatigue software tools.
3. Classical Static and Fatigue analysis experience.
4. Experience with physical testing planning.
5. Ability to propose efficient pragmatic solutions to analytical problems.
6. Ability to interpret data and events and look for appropriate solutions.
7. A practising expert in a technical engineering discipline.
