Quantity Surveyor – Large Energy Infrastructure (civils) Location : SE England - Kent Rate : £500 - £600 (outside IR35) per day (D.O.E) Start date : Jan/Feb 2025 Contract length : 2-year duration Turner Lovell is recruiting for an international EPC contractor to work on a high-profile renewable energy project in the Southeast of England. We are recruiting a Quantity Surveyor (focusing on civil works and building services), with experience working on the procurement of subcontractors, enabling works, main civil works right through to the project completion on large, complex power gen/energy projects within the UK. The successful candidate will be responsible for civil packages of £50m, working directly with the Commercial Project Manager. This is an excellent opportunity to be at the forefront of a high-profile energy infrastructure project, secure stability on a long-term project (3 years) and work with a world class, international team to deliver complex engineering and construction solutions. Duties: Prepare, advise, and analyse project tenders, contracts, and associated documentation for the RFQ/procurement process To be wholly involved in various negotiation processes, and the strategy (including contract negotiations) throughout the project duration Ensure external regulations are adhered to whilst on the project - to company standards. To provide support regarding Contract Management (guidelines, standards, and processes) To review the invoices of agreed purchase orders/frame works agreements & all the civils bill of quantities Actively ensuring contracts are standardised. Involved in the improvement processes Regularly review, audit, and implement the claim strategy regarding all stakeholders Preparation of presentations and analyses of internal data To hold training sessions for internal and external stakeholders where required Activities assigned by your direct line manager Requirements: 3 years’ experience as a Quantity Surveyor on large, complex civil work projects (£10m) Degree in Quantity in Surveying / Royal Institute for Chartered Surveyors (RICS) qualification Compliant to FIDIC standards Experience working on power generation / energy / rail / construction projects, in the UK.
