Job summary The Radiology Physics Department support a range of cutting edge imaging equipment across our hospitals within the Trust. We are looking for a highly experienced physicist in the field of Diagnostic Radiology to join our growing team as Deputy Head of Radiology Physics at University Hospitals Dorset. We also support MRI, Ultrasound and Lasers, so an interest in this area would be advantageous though not a requirement for the post. Anyone wishing to keep their skills and knowledge up to date in this field would be supported and encouraged to do so. The ideal candidate will be a HCPC registered clinical scientist and hold RPA2000 certification to act as an MPE and RPA in the diagnostic radiology, although applications from those holding only one certificate are encouraged as support for attainment of the other will be provided. Candidates who are not certified MPE or RPA but who are demonstrably close to being able to submit their portfolio for either may be considered for appointment to a lower band, initially.
