The Avenue Primary School and Children’s Centre and Acorn Education Trust are seeking to appoint an inspirational and driven Deputy Headteacher to join its team of senior leaders, and provide support in leading this inclusive and successful school, with effect from September 2025. We are a vibrant co-educational, non-denominational primary school, educating children between the ages of 3 and 11. Located in the charming garrison town of Warminster, Wiltshire, our staff are dedicated to creating a safe and exciting place for children to thrive and learn. The successful candidate will be expected to support the headteacher in leading enthusiastic and dedicated staff towards further enhancement of the school’s offer. We will appoint the candidate that will best fit the team and the needs of the school. We are looking for someone with: The drive, vision and ambition to achieve excellence for all our pupils; An excellent understanding of teaching and learning; Previous leadership experience in a primary setting; The ability to challenge, inspire and motivate colleagues; Willingness to lead on aspects of whole school development (in line with skill set and experience); An understanding of the current educational climate; A desire to work within the Multi Academy Trust structure.
