The Role
The successful candidate will play a key role in shaping the Employment Law department's future. Based in Shrewsbury, you’ll work closely with the department’s leadership to drive growth, meet strategic goals, and provide outstanding legal services to clients.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Managing a variety of Employment Law matters, including advisory and contentious work.
2. Supervising and mentoring junior team members.
3. Achieving and exceeding individual billing targets.
4. Maintaining compliance with firm policies, including Lexcel standards.
5. Proactively identifying and pursuing fee-earning and business development opportunities.
6. Keeping abreast of changes in employment legislation and case law to deliver expert advice.
7. Contributing to departmental marketing and growth initiatives.
About You
You are a motivated and experienced solicitor with:
1. A minimum of five years PQE in Employment Law.
2. Extensive experience managing both contentious and non-contentious employment matters.
3. A solid understanding of the legal market and a proven ability to drive business development.
4. Exceptional leadership and interpersonal skills to inspire and support your team.
5. The ability to independently manage a caseload while achieving financial objectives.
