We are seeking an experienced Landfill and Composting Site Manager to oversee operations, ensuring strict adherence to safety protocols and environmental standards. This permanent role is ideal for someone with a leadership background in waste management and a strong commitment to maintaining a safe, compliant, and efficient workplace.
Key Responsibilities
1. Lead and manage teams to ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
2. Implement and monitor health and safety systems, procedures, and training for all staff.
3. Evaluate staff knowledge of safety and permit regulations, ensuring continuous improvement.
4. Supervise landfill and composting operations, including engineering works and site restoration.
5. Oversee monitoring of landfill gas, leachate, and groundwater to meet Environmental Permit requirements.
6. Ensure plant, vehicles, and equipment are maintained and used safely.
Essential Skills
1. Strong experience in health and safety management
2. Effective team leadership
3. Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel).
Qualifications
1. A-level education or equivalent (Preferable)
2. Tertiary qualifications in geology sciences, or environmental studies are highly desirable.
3. 3+ years in a relevant management role with a focus on health and safety oversight.
