A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an Equine Veterinary Surgeon to work at an RCVS accredited practice situated in Essex.
Our client is a friendly, well-established equine practice on the beautiful Essex/Suffolk border with easy access to the stunning Norfolk and Suffolk coastline and London only an hour away on the train. They are looking for a Veterinary Surgeon with a minimum of 2 years equine experience to join their supportive team consisting of 4 Veterinary Surgeons, 2 RVN's and the staff who work on the yard.
As a mixed practice our client is predominantly ambulatory with excellent clinic, in-patient and surgical facilities. The diverse case load will vary from day to day and there is an excellent range of diagnostic and therapeutic equipment to support your work.
The purpose-built yard consists of rubber matted stables, stocks/examination room, pharmacy, a sand arena, horse walker and hard standing for trot ups/lunging. As part of their team, you will have access to portable x-ray, ultrasound scanners, endoscopes/gastroscopes as well as operating theatres giving you the opportunity to pursue your areas of clinical interest.
Your case load will include providing first opinion care to both hospitalized and ambulatory patients, treating a mixture of leisure and competition horses. They also provide more advanced treatments on site, such as laser surgery and some spinal and orthopaedic procedures with the help of traveling equine vets, who are eager to teach the team, continuing to expand the team's experience base.
The successful candidate will need to be an experienced equine veterinary surgeon who prides themself on delivering gold standard patient care.
Role:
- Salary up to £65,000 DOE
- Full time role - 4 day week
- Shared on-call and weekend rota
- Part Time hours would be considered
