Senior Commercial Manager (Insurance)

Our client, a well-known retail and financial services organisation, is seeking a Senior Commercial Manager to lead the rollout of a major new insurance product. This is a high-impact opportunity for a commercially minded individual from any insurance background to shape the direction of a new offering, drive growth, and deliver strong results across sales, retention, and customer engagement.
Sitting within the Partnership Development team, this role will be pivotal to delivering the client’s long-term growth ambitions in the protection space. The successful candidate will oversee the end-to-end delivery of the new project, working closely with internal teams (marketing, pricing, finance) and managing day-to-day relationships with a key insurance partner.
Key Responsibilities:
* Own the business plan and drive initiatives to achieve ambitious growth targets
* Collaborate cross-functionally to shape marketing strategy, pricing, and proposition design
* Develop and execute sales and retention initiatives including offers, campaigns and trade drivers
* Maintain strong partner relationships, ensuring delivery of contractual commitments and effective governance
* Oversee compliance activities including fair value assessments, product reviews and customer outcome monitoring
* Support the development of compelling, customer-first propositions
What They’re Looking For:
* Strong commercial or product management experience in any insurance discipline (e.g. Life, Motor, Home, Pet, Travel)
* A background in launching or running, involved in product-led projects or initiatives
* Experience setting commercial budgets and delivering against sales and P&L targets
* Ability to collaborate effectively across teams and build trusted external partnerships
* A proactive, results-driven mindset with strong communication and stakeholder skills
* Understanding of compliance frameworks and regulatory responsibilities within insurance
