A regional building contractor with a new project starting in Wakefield is looking for a Site Manager to join them on a temporary basis to oversee a refurbishment project in Wakefield that's estimated project duration is 6-8 weeks.
Your new role
Job duties will include but not be limited to.
* Oversee and manage all on-site activities related to the re-roofing project.
* Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
* Coordinate and supervise subcontractors and site staff.
* Monitor project progress and prepare detailed reports.
* Manage project budget and resources efficiently.
* Resolve any issues or conflicts that arise on-site.
* Ensure quality control and adherence to project specifications.
* Communicate effectively with clients, subcontractors, and other stakeholders
What you'll need to succeed
* Proven experience as a Construction Site Manager or similar role.
* Strong knowledge of construction processes and best practices.
* Excellent leadership and organisational skills.
* Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
* Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
* Good communication and interpersonal skills.
* Relevant qualifications in construction management or a related field.
* Valid CSCS card and SMSTS certification.
