If you’re seeking a stable, busy B2B office-based sales role working in a dedicated team then this role may be for you Our client is seeking a Sales Development Representative to join their small team in Thetford, Norfolk. This is a full-time, permanent position working from 8am – 4:30pm Monday to Friday and comes with an annual salary between £24,000 - £26,000 per annum with commission of approximately £2k per year on top. The Company Our client is a successful and well-established outsourced sales and market research firm with a small team of five. They offer telesales, digital marketing, and market research services for a broad range of companies, from software to retail, manufacturing to defence – both in the UK and globally, too. They have a supportive, studious working environment where they take their work seriously. It’s a busy business, where each day the team represent a different client. This makes the work varied and pretty interesting as there’s always something new to learn. The Job The Sales Development Representative will work closely with the whole team; you’ll be involved in the group client onboarding calls to help craft a successful sales strategy for the client and will work seamlessly alongside marketing and market research to discuss and act on findings. This is a wholly phone and desk-based sales role, where you’ll be targeted to make 80 calls per day, using leads generated by your colleagues., aiming to turn 42 of those calls into conversations. Other duties and tasks will involve: Conduct proactive sales calls to screen and qualify prospects Manage incoming call-backs from designated accounts Create tailored scripts and email templates for each client’s project Devise and implement sales strategies based on insights gained on calls, but also from information provided by colleagues Report on all sales activities and communications, backing up with statistics Keep databases and CRM systems up to date Engage with clients through face-to-face, phone, and virtual meetings. Seek to go beyond just making calls – aim to foster relationships, discern client needs, pinpoint opportunities, and devise solutions. Requirements This role would suit somebody who has a lot of confidence, but is also methodical, process-driven and enjoys a focused, disciplined working environment. You’ll need to have an inquisitive mind and enjoy communicating with a wide range of people. Whilst the team are really committed to doing a great job for their clients and work hard to focus on their activity – they are friendly, collaborative, and supportive and have a laugh, too – so being a team player and open, honest communicator is essential. To be considered, it is essential that you have previous experience in a busy, pro-active B2B sales role – ideally with lots of experience making sales calls. We would, however, also be open to applications from business graduates who are looking for their first step into a structured professional office and want to expand their knowledge and grow their sales skills.
