Job Title: SHE Advisor – Operations Location: Barrow-In-Furness Salary: Starting from £40,748 depending on skills and experience What you’ll be doing: Engaging with key stakeholders within operational delivery team to ensure safe delivery of boat builds – through risk assessments, targeted assurance assessments and risk reduction projects Ensuring timely and consistent advice, support, coaching and governance of SHE (Operations) standards and legislation is provided to support all activities across the organisation Supporting the development and embedding of a robust assurance programme within the Submarines business and support the SHE improvement programme Providing support to audits and investigations, producing comprehensive reports with root cause analysis Supporting, leading and delivering key risk reduction and improvement projects / activities Your skills and experiences: NVQ Level 3 in Safety Management (NEBOSH) certification Knowledge of safety management and safety risk assessment The ability to interpret and apply formal Regulations, best practice and guidance Proven written and verbal communication skills including stakeholder interaction report writing and investigative skills Experience of driving a positive safety culture Benefits: As well as a competitive pension scheme, BAE Systems also offers employee share plans, an extensive range of flexible discounted health, wellbeing and lifestyle benefits, including a green car scheme, private health plans and shopping discounts – you may also be eligible for an annual incentive.
