Job summary The Information Governance Unit is looking for a dynamic, hard-working, individual to join our busy Information Governance Unit as an Information Governance Officer. Candidates must have excellent organisational, communication and interpersonal skills. Experience of minute taking and a good working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications is a must. The successful applicants will form part of a hardworking team and be expected to partake in weekly IG presentations and audits. The post holder will act as a liaison point to provide advice and guidance as and when required, to raise awareness of Information Governance across all staff groups by contributing to the development and delivery of Information Governance training across the Trust and to ensure that the legal and ethical standards on the use of information within the organisation is met. Develop and deliver Information Governance training for specific staff groups Trust-wide, ensuring that key information is disseminated and understood. Develop detailed and precise Information Governance guidance documents to the specified standard for Trust-wide dissemination. Develop and maintain the Trust's Information Governance intranet site ensuring that all information is concise and up to date. Act as a focal point for Information Governance related enquires and offer assistance to staff where required, maintaining a log of such queries. Keep abreast of all best practice guidance, codes of conduct and legislation relevant to Information Governance issues. Collect evidence for the appropriate sections of the Information Governance Toolkit and assist other requirement leads in their collection.
