Phoenix Art Space is looking to appoint a new Treasurer to support the organisation into an era of long-term sustainability, including the development of a new 5 – 10 year business plan and an ambitious regeneration capital project.
Our Treasurer will have strong financial management, budgeting, and reporting skills, with experience in charity finance and a solid understanding of arts funding; and possess strategic planning abilities and risk management expertise. We are seeking someone also who has a commitment to equality, diversity, and inclusion in the arts; a dedication to promoting and supporting marginalised artists; a standard of ethical and transparent decision-making; and a disposition to collaborative teamworking.
Our Treasurer will support the Phoenix team by joining our Board of Trustees. They will maintain an overview of the charity’s affairs, ensuring its financial viability and ensuring that the charity has policies and systems in place to ensure robust financial planning, implementation and reporting. They will attend 4 board meetings per year, be present at key events and exhibitions and support the Board of Trustees and staff. The time commitment is approximately 2 days per month.
