As part of ongoing development of the Community Children's Nursing Services within City Health Care Partnership CIC, vacancies have arisen for Band 5 nurses to join the Sunshine House short break unit as part of our temporary staffing (Bank) pool. We are passionate team who offer respite and short breaks to children and young people (0-18 years) with complex disabilities and health needs. We also offer palliative care services to children and their families within our Forget-Me-Not suite. Due to the variety of short breaks we offer, a range of shifts, including days, nights and weekends will be available.
The successful applicants will join a well-motivated, friendly and very supportive team who encourage personal and professional development. You will have the opportunity to learn and develop new skills within an innovative and creative environment. Main duties of the job.
As an integral part of the team, you will demonstrate excellent communication and organisational skills, managing your own workload whilst leading the healthcare staff on shift. You will be expected to plan, implement and evaluate care for our client group and will have recent experience in working alongside children with complex needs and their families and will be passionate for ensuring their health needs are met.
