The Role:
We are seeking a Test Analyst to join the Trust Payments Retail Team. As a Test Analyst, you will be working with the retail development and delivery team to ensure overall quality for the retail product set in accordance with our established test strategy and process. This involves a combination of manual scripting/testing and automation.
Due to the nature of projects, this role requires the applicant to work onsite for the first 3 months; after this period, a hybrid alternative may be considered.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Attend requirement refinement and test condition design sessions providing input and estimations from a testing perspective.
2. Investigate requirements and design test conditions covering both positive and negative scenarios.
3. Write and execute tests (manual and automated) and investigate results.
4. Capture test results accurately while providing sufficient test evidence, raising defects, and investigating failures.
5. Provide updates on testing efforts, report and escalate issues.
6. Comprehend and implement testing processes across multiple projects ensuring that the software functions remain at the highest standards.
7. Showcase new functionality and bug fixes to the product owner.
8. Maintain appropriate levels of communication with the development team throughout the software development lifecycle.
9. Adapt to new projects working as part of a team or alone.
10. Maintain & improve the automated test framework.
You:
Required:
1. Working knowledge of automation testing tools and software (e.g. Selenium, Appium, Postman, JMeter).
2. 3+ years of experience in quality assurance/testing roles.
3. Knowledge of databases and SQL.
4. Knowledge of the Agile methodology and processes.
Desirable:
1. Bachelor's degree with a background in computing, mathematics, science or similar.
2. ISTQB Foundation level or higher.
3. Experience in programming language (Java).
4. Knowledge of web service APIs would be beneficial.
5. Experience using Cucumber/ability to write test scripts in feature files using Gherkin language.
6. Experience of creating and executing reusable automated test scripts in a Java Maven framework.
