As a Project Manager you will have a key role to ensure the successful delivery of major projects within our Major Projects community. You will coordinate all aspects of our delivery to enable the delivery of design services within a multi-disciplinary design & build (D&B) environment. About You You will have prior demonstrable experience of working in roles where you have provided leadership on major projects in consultancy or contracting companies – either as a Project Manager, Design Manager, Project Engineer or Project Leader. You will most likely be from a technical background – either technical engineering, construction management, environmental or other consulting backgrounds. You will hold qualifications in engineering or project management with a deep understanding of large and complex construction / engineering projects. You will also need to possess strongly demonstratable commercial and contractual acumen and understanding of NEC contracts. Through your previous roles within project delivery, you will have experience of achieving a position of trusted partner with clients and other stakeholders and acting as a mentor for less experienced team members. Role Accountabilities Overseeing multi-disciplinary design coordination and providing leadership Driving collaboration with all stakeholders across all stages of the project lifecycle Driving timely delivery of technical and commercial outcomes, ensuring delivery is above client expectation Accountable for ensuring effective financial and project management controls are in place and deployed to enable monitoring, modification and forecasting of design progress as appropriate Communicating effectively with all stakeholders to ensure that all parties are kept informed on all relevant matters impacting and influencing project design outcome Driving project performance, service delivery and technical outcomes, ensuring client delivery is above expectation Qualifications & Experience First and foremost, you share our passion for improving the quality of life through your contribution to water projects and the built environment You Are a Degree Qualified Engineering Professional With Extensive Experience In Project And/or Design Management And Will Come To Us With Demonstratable success in leading multidisciplinary design teams within a design and engineering consultancy or contracting environment Ability to effectively implement design delivery best practice including risk and change management, project and work breakdown structure planning and establishment Knowledge of modern methods of delivery including through model-based systems engineering and digital engineering processes Construction staging and experience would be advantageous Well-developed commercial skills, preferably within the water industry and NEC suite of contracts. Established stakeholder management capability with a focus on building credible, collaborative but influential relationships both internally and externally.
