Job Purpose
To oversee and manage a team of Test and Inspection electricians on a number of programmes of work to be completed across the South East region.
The Role
Permanent role contracted to 40hrs per week, Monday to Friday. Paid hourly, with overtime paid. Overtime during the weekends paid at an inflated rate. Your travel time will be paid door to door, on top of contracted and overtime hours. A company van and fuel card will be issued.
1. To be responsible for supervising electrical installations in accordance with BS7671 and Bridges Health & Safety Rules and Essential Standards.
2. Ensure that all items are installed to the highest standards, in compliance with the project’s quality plan and inspection and test plans.
3. To follow and actively promote the STAR dynamic risk assessment and to be empowered to stop work should unsafe circumstances arise.
4. To coach and mentor Electricians, Electrical Improvers/Mates, and Apprentices.
5. Promote and demonstrate the Bridges’ values when dealing with peers, staff, customers, and clients.
6. Promote positive health and wellbeing amongst their peers.
7. To act in a professional manner and be an ambassador for Bridges, supporting the business goals and maintaining the company’s positive reputation.
Requirements
Essential:
1. ECS Gold Card (essential).
2. SSSTS or SMSTS (essential).
3. Test & Inspect qualified (essential).
4. Appropriate City & Guilds trade Qualification.
5. Experience within an industrial environment, ideally within the water/waste water industry.
6. Experience supervising a small team on simple installations.
7. Knowledge of health & safety legislation and company procedures.
8. Willingness to learn and undertake occupational training.
9. Full UK driving license.
Desirable:
1. CCNSG and EUSR.
2. Ability to write simple risk assessments.
3. Emergency first aid or First Aider.
