Residential Children's Services Registered Manager

We are currently seeking a Registered Manager to oversee the operation of a 4-bed home in Doncaster.
As the Registered Manager, you will have full responsibility for the day-to-day management of the home, ensuring the delivery of high-quality care and safeguarding the rights of young people.
You will lead a team of care workers in line with relevant legislation and guidelines to support the physical, emotional, and social development of the young people in your care.
- Deliver high-quality care in accordance with Ofsted SCCIF, relevant legislation, and organisational policies.
- Ensure Health & Safety guidelines are followed and that staff receive adequate training.
- Maintain accurate records for young people and staff, implementing robust monitoring and evaluation systems.
- Provide management information, including statistical data as required.
- Promote innovative childcare techniques and contribute to the senior management team.
- Attend, prepare for, and chair internal and external meetings.
- Participate in an on-call rota and cover sleep-in shifts as needed.
- Write and oversee the production of concise, evaluative reports and manage all written communication.
- Make informed decisions regarding the welfare of young people and staff.
- Manage admissions and discharges to the home.
- Lead and drive change in line with the organisation's ethos.
- Ensure all managers have or are working towards a relevant Diploma level 5 or equivalent.
- Participate in the recruitment process, ensuring all necessary checks are completed.
- Oversee staff induction, supervision, and appraisal processes.
- Support the continuous professional development of staff, ensuring all mandatory training is completed.
- Maintain effective rotas and manage monthly expenses.
- Handle grievances, complaints, and disciplinary matters in accordance with organisational policies.
- Monitor the service budget and financial transactions, ensuring targets are met.
- Ensure the maintenance of premises and equipment meets required standards.
- Promote the organisation positively with external agencies, other professionals, and the public.
- Liaise with commissioners and the referrals manager regarding admissions.
- Attend and contribute to psychotherapy leadership and management forums.
- A passion for delivering high-quality care and education.
- Proven experience in managing a team.
- Comprehensive knowledge of child protection and safeguarding procedures.
- Understanding of the needs of vulnerable individuals.
- High standards of safe working practice.
- Ability to develop effective working relationships with colleagues, young people, and external agencies.
- Emotional resilience and respect for boundaries and authority.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and a commitment to equal opportunities.
- Holds a valid UK driving licence and has access to appropriate transport.
- Flexibility and reliability.
- Participation in management forums and contribution to policy and practice development.
- 25 days annual leave plus 8 statutory holidays.
- £2,000 bonus for an Outstanding Ofsted report.
- Full occupancy bonus of £300 per month.
- On-call payments: £25 weekdays, £35 weekends.
- Petrol allowance (business insurance required).
- Pension in line with organisational and government guidelines.
- 39 hours per week, including sleep-in duties as per the home's rota.
- Office days required for administrative duties.
