Support Worker (Internally know as an Enablement Associate) Hourly Rate: £13.57 per hour Location: Bracknell, Berkshire Type of Contract: Monday to Fri -9.30am - 4.30pm Driver essential for this role About the Role We are looking for experienced and resilient Support Workers with a background in supporting people with Autism and Learning Disabilities. You will be supporting a young male adult, within his family home in Bracknell, who has a team member support ratio of 2:1. The individual you will be supporting Loves long walks, tractors and Music, therefore having team members who are able to share these interests, especially going for long walks, is key to meeting his individuals needs and importantly his interests. His main aim is to be more independent, and he needs team members to help him build confidence and the skills set needed to accomplish any new goals he sets himself to achieve. Team members will need to have excellent communication skills with a caring, fun personality, to support this person to live their best life. You will need to be comfortable with personal care and understand the importance of this individual having support at all times. Within PBS4, we call Support Workers ‘Enablement Assistants’. As an Enablement Assistant you will have the support of a team of people dedicated to supporting that person. You will also be able to access support from the Enablement Manager, Deputy Enablement Manager and the Positive Behaviour Support Clinician who provide you and the team with management and leadership.
