Systems Administrator (SC Cleared)
Salary: £25,500 - £32,500 + Benefits
Location: Gloucestershire (on site)
The Opportunity
You will be responsible for maintaining and upgrading a range of technologies for internal operations. This will include maintaining services and responding to support requests from the wider business, as well as the development of new systems, critical infrastructure, security and services.
You'll be:
Installing and configuring software and hardware
Managing and monitoring network servers and technology tools
Setting up systems accounts, workstations and equipment
Monitoring performance and maintaining systems according to requirements
Troubleshooting issues and outages
Provide 1st, 2nd and 3rd Line Support
Ensuring security through access controls, backups and firewalls
Upgrading systems with new releases and models, training staff on new technologies
Building internal technical documentation, manuals and IT policies
You should apply if you:
The successful candidate will ideally have a Computer Science or IT based academic background with experience of system administration within a Microsoft environment.
Willingness to take on a variety of tasks and responsibilities, responding to the needs of the business.
Able to work independently, using initiative and prioritising your workload.
Working as part of a team on occasion.
Working knowledge of MS Office 365
Excellent communication skills at all levels.
