Specialist Diabetes and Weight Management Dietitian

As a diabetes and weight management dietitian at the Royal Devon for our Northern services, you'll be joining a small, friendly team of dietitians based at North Devon District Hospital in Barnstaple.
Main duties of the job
You will be a key member of the Royal Devon University Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust, working together to help our patients stay healthy when they need it most.
Job Responsibilities
1. Provide personalized care as a key clinician within the diabetes and weight management multidisciplinary teams.
2. Work closely with our tier 3 weight management service senior clinician.
3. Deliver and develop clinics and patient education groups.
4. Manage specialist outpatient clinics for adults referred.
5. Develop professional, specialized programs of care, including dietetic assessment, education, and intervention.
6. Involve in the National Diabetes Audits.
7. Potential for dietetic-led gestational diabetes management (candidate dependent).
8. Support and train student dietitians.
Working hours
This role is part-time (30 hours per week) with a flexible working policy.

Person Specification
HCPC registered dietitian; experience in diabetes and weight management is advantageous but not essential. The role is suitable for an experienced Band 5 looking to progress or an existing Band 6 wanting to specialize.
