We are a market-leading education agency seeking a dedicated and compassionate Education Support Worker to join a vibrant SEN school in Yeovil starting in January 2024. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is enthusiastic about supporting students with diverse needs and helping them reach their full potential.
Key Responsibilities:
* Provide one-on-one and group support to students with special educational needs, ensuring they feel safe, supported, and able to engage in learning.
* Assist teachers in the classroom with preparing materials and implementing individualized education plans (IEPs).
* Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment by encouraging social interaction and personal development.
* Monitor and record students’ progress, communicating effectively with teachers and parents.
* Support students in developing their independence and life skills both in and out of the classroom.
Requirements:
* Previous experience working with children or young people with special educational needs is essential.
* A patient, empathetic, and proactive approach to supporting students with a range of needs.
* Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
* A relevant qualification in education, childcare, or a related field is desirable but not essential.
* A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
