Role Description
1. Technical project lead on several CALLUM engineering projects and investigations.
2. Liaising with suppliers, researching technologies, leading cross functional technical issue resolution, whilst providing innovative solutions to problems.
3. Create engineering specifications and schematics, complete component selection and legislation reviews to ensure products meet requirements.
4. Manage external suppliers and clients, to define feature sets and ensure delivery on time and budget.
5. Work closely with internal design, project management and operations teams to ensure engineering requirements are communicated and their feedback is understood and implemented.
6. Support the head of engineering with day to day duties such as design reviews, package reviews, approvals and sign off.
Experience and Skills
1. Engineer with a degree in Mechanical, Automotive or Electrical Engineering (or equivalent).
2. 2-5 years or more experience in a relevant engineering business is required. Ideally someone familiar with working with small volume, bespoke products and able to work in a dynamic team without large OEM processes.
3. Experience of automotive products and electric vehicle architecture is desired.
4. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills along with a well organised and methodical approach to planning and executing studies with minimal supervision.
5. An individual with a high competence in problem solving who is self motivated and intuitive is required.
6. Able to integrate into a dynamic friendly team with a positive culture.
7. CATIA V5 experience is beneficial.
