Are you an experienced Teaching Assistant seeking a new and rewarding opportunity? We are delighted to be recruiting a dedicated Alternative Provision (AP) Teaching Assistant to join one of our partner schools in Chesterfield.
In this fulfilling role, you will support students who face a variety of challenges, including social, emotional, and behavioural difficulties. Working within a specialist environment, you will play a pivotal role in empowering students to overcome barriers to learning by employing creative and adaptive teaching strategies tailored to their individual needs.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with the classroom teacher to deliver engaging and alternative learning strategies for students with SEN needs, including ASD and ADHD.
- Set realistic and achievable goals for students, closely monitoring their progress.
- Provide tailored support to ensure all students are able to reach their full potential.
- Assist students in overcoming challenges, helping them identify and implement effective solutions.
The Ideal Candidate
- Have prior experience working with students with Special Educational Needs (SEN).
- Build positive and trusting relationships with both students and staff.
- Demonstrate excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Be compassionate, patient, and caring in their approach.
- Hold a full, valid UK driving licence.
