About the Role:
If you like to lead from the front and provide leadership then you’ll certainlyhave the opportunity for that in this role. Your primary responsibility will beto undertake the role of HSE Advisor, ensuring that Health, Safety andEnvironment standards and responsibilities are understood by all involvedwithin Drax Power Station.
Drawing upon your experience, you’ll be implementing and maintaining Draxhealth & safety policies to ensure best practice codes are adhered toaccording to local standards and legislation.
With your experience and knowledge of managing HSE projects, you’ll also beinvolved in major projects, such as outage shutdowns, ensuring required safetyand operational standards are met.
You’ll be the person who provides advice and guidance on HSE matters tocolleagues and contractor partners.
Strong communication is important to this role therefore you’ll be confident inengaging with colleagues, external stakeholders, the senior leadership team andcontractor partners. Using your expertise and knowledge, this role willprovide you with the scope to introduce new innovative approaches to our HSEmanagement system and processes.
This role ispredominantly health and safety focused but supporting the wider HSE&Gteams.
Who we’re looking for
To hit the ground running in this role, you’ll be an experienced HSE Advisor with a background working within power generation, high hazard, engineering, construction or manufacturing industries.
Additionally, you’ll hold need a Level 6 safety qualification NEBOSH Diploma. If you’re a trained auditor that would be highly beneficial, if not then this is certainly something we can support your development with.
You’ll also need a strong understanding of Health & Safety management systems, such as ISO45001.
If you have a passion and drive for HSE and have the ability to work autonomously and self-motivate, then this could be the role for you.
