Spinwell is recruiting for a HR Workforce & Pensions Lead for an excellent opportunity within the public sector.
RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE HR WORKFORCE & PENSIONS LEAD
1. Responsible for the day-to-day management and supervision of the HR Workforce team, associated payroll procedures, and pension administration.
2. Ensure the delivery of a high-quality and professional service through planning, organisation, and delegation.
3. Establish and maintain systems and processes for the timely and accurate delivery of the monthly payroll.
4. Manage complex calculations and enquiries, providing specialist information and advice to staff and managers as required.
5. Assist colleagues within the team with more complex queries.
6. Deal with pensions administration and queries/issues in relation to the three separate pension providers (NHS, Nest, and Scottish Widows) and any new providers.
SKILLS/EXPERIENCE OF THE HR WORKFORCE & PENSIONS LEAD
1. Educated to degree level, or equivalent academic standard/experience.
2. Professional payroll qualification.
3. Evidence of continuing professional development.
4. Specialist knowledge and understanding of statutory regulations, such as PAYE, NI, and statutory benefits.
5. Knowledge of NHS Terms and Conditions of Service.
6. Knowledge of records management, information governance, and data protection standards.
7. Knowledge of pensions administration in a payroll setting.
8. Knowledge of NHS payroll and pensions.
9. Significant experience of working within a specialised payroll role.
10. Management experience.
11. Experience of using a computerised payroll administration system.
12. Experience within an NHS payroll function.
13. Experience of using the Electronic Staff Record (ESR) system.
