We are seeking a seasoned Chief Engineer to join our client, focusing on the renewables sector with an R&D facility in the Stoke on Trent area. This high-impact role is ideal for someone passionate about steering large industrial process systems projects with an analytical mindset towards mechanical design. Key Responsibilities: Leverage over a decade of experience in mechanical design related to industrial process systems such as SKIDS or water systems Manage P&ID (Piping and Instrumentation Diagram) development processes aimed at containerisation strategies. Demonstrate project leadership from conception through implementation phases across global settings, particularly frequent travels primarily focused toward the Middle East regions. Take a hand's on approach to all engineering tasks including build, test & commission Analyse system configurations using Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD). Support the business in developing it's capability for manufactureSkills & Experience: Minimum of ten years' hands-on involvement designing complex engineering systems such as Skids/ process automation systems or systems for the water/ oil & gas/ petrochemical/ energy sectors Project Leadership - Ability to spearhead major projects, ensuring effective collaboration among cross-functional teams. Hand's on engineering experience with systems - build/ test/ commission Experience setting up or enhancing manufacturing capabilitiesThis full-time permanent role offers a hybrid working arrangement, initially you'll be required to travel overseas frequently for the test & commission of the system.
