We currently have a vacancy for a motivated Podiatrist at band 6 level to join our team.

Main duties of the job
1. To work as part of an autonomous and innovative team specialising in foot and lower limb pathologies.
2. To assess, diagnose, implement and develop individualised assessment and treatment programmes for patients presenting with foot pathologies and medical need.
3. To commit to a philosophy of a patient-centred approach to care, with emphasis on client empowerment and self-care.
4. To work as a highly motivated team member within the podiatry and multidisciplinary team settings and external organisations, to achieve the best patient outcome.
5. To be responsible for the management of Podiatric caseloads from a high-risk caseload including patients with wounds.

Job Description
Job responsibilities
1. To observe, implement and adhere to professional standards of the Royal college of Podiatry and Health and Care Professions Council.
2. To observe, implement and adhere to all Trust policies and procedures including Health and Safety legislation, COSHH regulations, Workplace Risk Assessment, Infection Control, and Personal Safety.
3. To contribute to the strategic development and improvement of existing services and facilitate the instigation of new service development by working as part of an innovative team.
Person Specification
Qualifications & Training
* State registration to HPC
* Podiatry Diploma/ Degree
* Local Analgesia Administration Certificate.
* Commitment to continuous development of clinical skills and professional knowledge.
* Awareness of current changes within the NHS.
Experience
* A minimum of 1 year Post graduate experience of treating a high-risk caseload including a wound care caseload.
* Post graduate experience in Minor surgical procedures and Biomechanics.
Knowledge & Skills
* Ability to diagnose, construct, document, implement and evaluate care plans using a holistic approach.
* Ability to make decisions and demonstrate good organisational skills in managing own caseload.
Salary: £37,338 to £44,962 a year per annum plus HCAS per annum
Contract: Permanent
