Our leading Douglas-based Finance Sector Client is seeking an experienced Dealing Technician to join their busy team as the business continues to grow.
You will have an important role to play within their Portfolio Bond Dealing Team; contributing to the placement of over 100,000 trades per year totaling over £3bn, ensuring all work is completed within service level agreement and to an exceptional degree of accuracy.
Reporting to the Dealing Manager, the main responsibilities of the Dealing Technician will include:
* Process high value/risk dealing instructions across all asset types for personalised portfolio bonds, in line with service standards and to an exceptional degree of accuracy
* Investigate and analyse cause of dealing errors suggesting applicable changes to process or controls
* Handle any complex/technical enquiries received
* Provide training to new members of the team using the training and accreditation process becoming a mentor throughout their development
* Accurate and timely authorisation of trades up to a value of £500k
* SME with all investment related tasks providing guidance for colleagues where required, including internal and external audit. This would include any projects/development/testing as and when required
* Management & maintenance of system controls/regional dealing rules to ensure regulatory compliance
* Production of MI as required, used for various senior management committees
The ideal candidate for the role of Dealing Technician will have:
* Minimum of 3 years' experience in a dealing or investments based role, ideally within the life assurance industry
* A significant understanding of investments
* 5 GCSE's grades A-C or equivalent, including English and Maths
* High level of accuracy, good communication skills and proven ability to work to deadlines in a high pressurised environment
* Hold or working towards the CISI Introduction to Securities & Investments; or IOC qualification
