Quality Control Technician
Location: Middlesbrough
Salary: £32,105 per annum
Hours: various shift pattern
Type: Permanent
Main Purpose of the Role:
Monitor manufactured products to ensure that they consistently meet specified standards. Complete product testing and internal inspections against specific schedules or requests.
Responsibilities:
1. Analysis of offloading of all ingredients
2. Analytical testing
3. Confirm CIP completed to required standard
4. Ensure packaging lines are serviced with products as required
5. Fill height checks on all bottling lines
6. Carry out checks
7. Confirm suitability of incoming products prior to use
8. Analytical testing of in-process products
9. Analytical & microbiological testing of finished products
10. Microbiological preparation work
11. Calibration of laboratory and factory equipment on a daily basis
12. Daily In-process packaging checks on all products
13. Carry out Monthly hygiene, fabrication and GMP inspections and log findings
14. Reporting outcome of the monthly hygiene, fabrication and GMP inspections to relevant department
15. Glass and hard plastics audits - Monthly and quarterly
16. Paperwork checks on in-process and finished products throughout the shift
17. Final pack packaging checks
18. Inform the Technical Manager/Technical Quality Lead of any out of specification results
19. Ensure correct recording of actions within IFS stock inventory system
20. Ensure all documentation is completed and recorded legibly and correctly
21. Ensure documentation is scanned/attached to IFS as appropriate
22. Ensure the work area and laboratory is kept clean & tidy
23. Report any faulty or broken equipment to the Technical Manager/Technical Quality Lead
24. Ensure a correct shift handover takes place with other Technicians
25. Provide holiday cover for other Technicians when necessary
26. Any other duties as deemed necessary by the Technical Manager/Technical Quality Lead
Requirements:
1. Highly organised with good prioritisation skills and IT literate
2. QA or technical experience within a factory environment
3. Strong organisational skills with high attention to detail
4. Willingness and ability to be flexible
