In this role, you will lead take ownership of a diverse range of categories across Europe. You should be adaptable, willing to flex to consistently evolving business needs, and excited to occasionally travel to other Sony EU offices to build relationships and motivate changes.

We want your vision, passion, influence, business sense and strategic expertise in steering procurement. In this highly visible role, you’ll take full ownership of spend categories that directly support local and European top management decisions and deliver on the bottom line.

Our teams use modern tools & analytics, service & delivery in-country, category management across countries and for both engineering and professional services - and the right person has the opportunity to develop into or across all areas.
You will:
4. Establish and maintain positive relationships with senior stakeholders to understand & define business requirements.
5. Lead the implementation of EU sourcing strategies in your category areas.
6. Identify, lead and collaborate with our in-country teams for local sourcing projects.
7. Manage suppliers by supervising performance, SLA’s and continuous improvement activities.
8. Own contract information, critical metric indicator data and approvals for your categories.
9. Develop your long-range category strategy.
10. Negotiate and lead the commercial elements of category contracts.
11. Support central initiatives, such as our sustainability goals, for improving the efficiency of CPE platform and overall procurement activities in Europe.
12. Develop and maintain a relationship with other category teams and Sony sister companies, where applicable, in order to find opportunities for joined procurement activities
You will bring:
13. Corporate procurement within a blue-chip company, leading indirect procurement categories
14. Experienced in developing, supporting and implementing procurement strategies and leading project teams at a European/multi country level
15. A successful negotiator with excellent stakeholder and supplier management skills, equally focused on value for money, service quality and positive strategic outcomes
16. Highly influential and credible at the highest levels
17. Numerate and logical – able to make and rationalise data-driven decisions
18. Strong customer service sense and attitude with a commercial and entrepreneurial driven mentality
