These Phorums are central to BioPhorum’s mission of driving innovation and collaboration in biomanufacturing, and we’re looking for dynamic individuals to join our teams. Development Group Phorum: With the increasing need to reduce product development lead times and harness innovative technologies, the Development Group Phorum remains at the forefront of the biopharmaceutical industry. This Phorum connects process development organizations, providing a collaborative space for subject matter experts to address critical issues such as quality by design, process characterization, cell line technologies, and molecule selection. Supply Resilience Phorum: BioPhorum’s Supply Resilience Phorum focuses on addressing the complexity, resilience, and cost-efficiency of the biopharmaceutical supply chain. In this Phorum, supplier and manufacturer inbound supply chain leaders come together to tackle current challenges and build a sustainable, future-focused supply chain strategy. Members collaborate to create a strategic framework that will shape the future of the biopharma supply chain, with an emphasis on innovation and sustainability. Both Phorums offer incredible opportunities to engage with leaders in the field and make a significant impact on the future of biomanufacturing. The Account Manager is responsible for managing the relationship with designated clients and subject matter experts within a specific Phorum, owning and project managing the account management plan for their clients. They act as a trusted advisor to their clients, delivering a clear value proposition that drives and grows their clients’ collaboration and engagement within BioPhorum’s community. Key objectives for this role are to maximize the value that our members can capture and perceive, and to maximize the resulting account value to BioPhorum through retention, renewal uplift, and supporting cross-sell for additional Phorum memberships. They leverage their client and industry insight to contribute to impactful program and workstream development, identifying and escalating growth and value opportunities to fit member needs. To achieve these objectives, account managers work collaboratively with other teams, including global change facilitation and Commercial, to deliver exceptional service for their clients. They also collaborate across Phorums as part of the account management team to ensure a consistent and excellent client experience throughout BioPhorum. Main Responsibilities Manage designated client relationships • Build and manage the relationship between BioPhorum and a number of designated clients within your Phorum, growing and maintaining strong, collaborative relationships in order to maximise engagement, collaboration and value and drive the retention of your clients • Deliver exceptional client service, identifying and resolving issues before they arise, and ensuring that all activities are completed according to published standards • Proactively works with clients to understand their business priorities and identify how the BioPhorum program can support these priorities Drive exceptional client value delivery • Provide a clear value proposition for each client, based on the Phorum value levers and the client’s own priorities. • Support your clients in identifying value from collaboration, including tangible and intangible. Coach them in relating this to their own priorities, and support them in translating BioPhorum deliverables into organizational value, as well as communicating this internally in their organizations Commercial delivery • Support Phorum Director and Global Relationship Director in sales activities in order to drive Phorum growth against the Phorum Business Plan. This includes sales presentations, enabling introductions to key personnel at your clients, and other pipeline activities • Identifying opportunities within your client group for growth into additional BioPhorum offerings, and working with the Commercial team to action these • Maximize successful membership renewals for your clients, communicating fee increases and managing invoicing issues. Actively manage client account health and risk • Own and manage the account management strategy for each designated account, driving the delivery of the value proposition, income and profitability targets • Monitor workstream performance for each client, ensuring reporting across all account activity and the escalation and documentation of risks and opportunities • Actively monitor market and industry news pertaining to both your clients and phorum in order to identify risks and opportunities, and to have meaningful discussions with your clients Drive and manage impactful and profitable Phorum program • Ensure effective client feedback into the Phorum and use this to drive program development, working collaboratively with your Phorum Facilitators, Global Relationship Directors and delivery colleagues to ensure that your clients’ views are reflected in the consensus program. • Facilitate Phorum leaders meetings and events as required by the Phorum Director, and by working with your Phorum facilitators to ensure facilitation best practice is applied • Support development and maintenance of phorum communication material (e.g., account packs, newsletters, linked in posts, value reports etc). Essential knowledge, skills, and abilities • A deep knowledge of the biopharmaceutical sector with a passion for harnessing the power of collaboration to create industry-changing programs. • A self-starter with experience in building successful client relationships, adding value to clients, and driving revenue in a similar high-growth biopharmaceutical business. • Strong strategic thinking abilities with the capacity to balance delivery and attention to detail with innovation and achievement. • Experience in inspiring and motivating a cross-functional team. • A strong communicator, able to convey gravitas with internal and external audiences, customers, and partners. • Comfortable operating in a dynamic, fast-paced environment with the ability to execute with excellence and speed. This is a home-based role with occasional travel requirements, including at least two trips per year within the UK and two international trips to support the organization’s annual events cycle.
