As a Project Quantity Surveyor at Last Mile, working under the UKPS brand, you’ll report directly to the Regional Utility Manager and oversee projects across Southwest England and South Wales. Based out of our Stonehouse office, the successful candidate will work on a hybrid basis, combining office collaboration with remote flexibility. You’ll have the opportunity to engage with a diverse range of customers representing UKPS, including Property Developers (Residential) and Commercial bodies. In this role, you’ll ensure the financial execution of new multi-utility connections throughout their construction journey. Working closely with Project Managers, Construction Managers, and the Finance team, your evaluation of project financials against predetermined budgets will guarantee precision and transparency at every stage. Deliver impactful financial data to the Project Finance team, contributing to budget updates, month-end reports, and continuous improvement by providing valuable feedback to Finance and Estimating teams. Take ownership of project invoicing processes, ensuring timely and accurate customer billing while partnering with Streetworks and Civils Commercial teams to resolve any discrepancies in subcontractor or traffic management costs. Evaluate the financial implications of project changes with precision and urgency, maintaining a strong client focus and presenting details to the highest standard. Be a key player in monthly profit and loss meetings, analysing project performance and sharing actionable insights with regional teams and senior leadership to drive success. Experience / Knowledge: Minimum 3 years’ experience as Quality Surveyor or Commercial Manager. Contract Management experience. An understanding of project management or commercial managing works Qualifications HNC in Quantity Surveying or equivalent discipline. Anti-bribery training.
