JD&Co are hiring a strongly commercial CEO for a brand led multichannel SME. We are looking for a transformational business and numbers focused leader to own the P&L and to drive revenue growth. This is a values led, creative and high energy leader, someone who can partner effectively with existing senior management and Board to take this strongly entrepreneurial business through the next phase of their global growth journey.
You will have full day-to-day operational and financial control of the business, with commercial accountability at the highest level and ownership of the P&L. You will play a significant role in framing the business strategy with the Founder, Board and wider leadership, keeping a sharp eye on cash management and will play a significant role in driving the revenue agenda to first and foremost optimise profitability to directly impact and fuel longer term plans including a successful planned liquidity event. This role ideally would suit someone who (in senior commercial roles or as CEO) has heavily contributed to or led a robust growth journey or turnaround prior.
About the Role:
* Day to day operational and financial control of the business with full ownership of the P&L.
* Tactical and agile planning on short, medium, and long-term strategy to ensure continuing & ambitious revenue growth & ROI.
* With a focus on revenue growth, build out and lead on innovative plans and commercial strategies to win business globally.
* Ensure an effective commercial structure, the right team, and appropriate systems and data are in place to deliver the revenue goals.
* Cultivate and manage strong relationships with Partners and key accounts / key customers.
* Collaborate internally on accurate financial forecasts, effective tracking, and insightful narrative to support decision-making and strategic planning.
* Report into the Board effectively and ensure their expertise and experience is used where appropriate.
* Cultivate and manage strong relationships with Investors and work collaboratively on future fundraising activity.
* Be a strong leader, set a clear commercial vision and strategy for the business, drive immediate and long-term development plans and deliver sustained growth and optimised profitability ahead of a successful planned liquidity event.
About You:
* Proven and recent experience of robust revenue leadership in a scaling, commercially led, multichannel business OR business unit within a larger organisation (50-200 h/c).
* Heavily commercial, you will bring experience of driving sales activity across all channels to drive growth.
* Responsible for actively scaling a business or business unit with revenues £10m+ and delivered against significant growth targets.
* Created both short and long term business strategies at Board level whilst still happy to dive into the detail and execute either internally or externally.
* Values-led, energetic growth-focused leader; entrepreneurially minded and commercially strong.
* (Desirable) Experience cultivating and managing successful investor relationships.
* (Desirable) Experience in a business that has sold or exited.
