We are currently seeking a multi-skilled finishing Operative to cover maternity leave for approximately 9 months but with the chance of extension based on performance and business needs. This position plays a crucial role in our production process, ensuring accuracy and quality in product tabbing and labelling. The multi-skilled finishing Operative will focus on tabbing, attaching labels and tags to textile products, ensuring they meet the required standards for identification, branding, and quality assurance. However, there is an expectancy that you will already be multi-trained or willing to be trained on other related tasks in finishing. This is a temporary position covering maternity leave, and the ideal candidate will be adaptable, detail-oriented, and skilled in multiple aspects of textile production focused on our Ticket, Tab, Fold and Bag (TTFB) area. The successful candidate will become a flexible member of the current finishing area of our wider production team. About Barrie Knitwear? Labelling and Tagging: Accurately attach tabs, labels, and identification markers to textile products, ensuring proper placement and adherence to company standards Quality Assurance: Inspect finished products to ensure labels and tags are applied correctly, without damaging the product, and that all details (sizes, materials, care instructions) are correct Multitasking: Assist in various other textile production tasks as needed, such as fold, bag, sorting, or product inspection Collaboration: Work closely with the production and quality control teams to meet deadlines and maintain efficiency in the production line Inventory Management: Ensure all required tags, labels, and other materials are well-stocked and report any shortages to management Problem-Solving: Identify any issues with tagging equipment or materials and assist in troubleshooting and resolving these problems Health & Safety Compliance: Follow all safety protocols and procedures in line with company and industry standards What will you bring to the role?
