Position Summary: We are seeking a proactive and skilled Maintenance Operative to join a dedicated team. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing a variety of maintenance tasks across residential buildings in the Leeds and Yorkshire regions. The role requires efficient use of technology, including PDA and CRM system, to manage daily tasks and ensure timely completion of work. Key Responsibilities: Maintenance Tasks: Perform routine and reactive maintenance on residential properties, including plumbing, electrical joinery, patch work, carpentry, and general repairs. Conduct preventative maintenance to ensure the longevity and safety of building systems and structures. Customer Service: Interact professionally with tenants and clients, addressing their maintenance concerns promptly and effectively. Provide clear communication on the status of maintenance requests and any necessary follow-up actions. Team Collaboration: Work collaboratively with other maintenance operatives and support staff to ensure efficient service delivery. Participate in team meetings and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives. Compliance and Safety: Adhere to all health and safety regulations and company policies. Ensure all work is completed to the highest standards and in compliance with relevant building codes and regulations. Qualifications and Skills: (Must have Driving Licence as this is multi site.) Experience: Proven experience in a maintenance role, preferably within the residential social housing property sector. Experience with social housing or PRS environments is highly desirable. Technical Skills: Strong skills in plumbing, carpentry, and general building maintenance. Proficiency in using a PDA or similar technology for task management. Personal Attributes: Excellent problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to maintenance challenges. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a customer-focused attitude. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Reliable, punctual, and able to manage time effectively.
